Starting eleven?

#
Let's see some starting XI's and give your opinions about formations and choices. Let's do this given everyone is healthy and in good form....   !!!

I guess I will start:

---------------Fahrmann---------------
Ochs-----Russ------Franz----Spycher
----------Chris------Schwegler--------
-----Meier-----Caio-------Korkmaz---
--------------Amanatidis---------------

This is such a tough decision as i can make many different formations and have many many different variations. I think this formation is good for Frankfurt as it is very flexible, the outside midfielders can move back into a 4-5-1 when they prefer to play more defensive, and also move up the wings to be more like a 4-3-3 and become more attacking. Plus it always leaves a solid core of defenders to defend the counter attack which most teams try to run recently.
But I am a huge fan of Korkmaz and I think he is a great player. Fenin is also a good player and I know Skibbe will not play with only one striker up top, so my starting eleven will be a little off. As for Chris, he is a skilled player and is also a very important part of the team not only physically but mentally he controls the team and could have been captain. I am not a fan of Spycher at least from the games that I saw, but he is our new captain and I will still support him and obviously there must be some qualities about him that I have not seen. The only other question I have is the centerback positions. Marco Russ and Maik Franz seem to have the two starting positions as long as they are healthy but what about Habib Bellaid and Alex Vasoski? They could easily be starters and hopefully they won't be demoralized while sitting on the bench for a bit. Nikolov is a very good keeper and definitely has a lot of experience that is needed between the posts. The only reason I have Fahrmann over Nikolov is because Fahrmann looked very good before the season started and Nikolov has been known to have "nikolov moments."

Firstly welcome back CJ, have not seen many posts from you over the break.

Secondly, This has been a very interesting task, great topic and it is really hard to narrow this down but since I would like to see a more offensive eintracht I think I would have to go with a 4-1-3-2.

My starting 11 would be:

---------------Fahrmann---------------

Ochs-----Russ------Franz----Spycher

-----------------Chris-------------------

-----Meier-----Caio-------Korkmaz---

----------Fenin-------Amanatidis------

I really like Fahrmann and hope that he lives up to his billing.  The back 5 would be the same and Chris would be a holding MF, Schwegler could also fill this role but I think that he would want to push forward to much and that would open up the back 4.  The reason I went with this is that it could easily be converted to a more defensive midfield by pulling a striker and placing another holding MF to play along with Chris.  Of course this would be after we have a 2 goal lead.

„Ein Tor, Ein Tor, schiesst noch ein Tor!!!!“

In the front five I wanted to put our best offensive 5 and this would be 3 attacking MF and then the strikers.  I guess you could easily run this as 4-1-3-1-1. I believe that Man U runs something similar to that.

Going through this task makes me super excited for the season as I got to really think about the players.  We have alot of depth with good talent which is very interchangable so that we should not have the same issue as last year when people were unable to play due to ________.  Dont like to say the word, BAD OMENS but it is a fact of life in football.

As for the Pokal win the other day.  All I have to say is

BERLIN, BERLIN, WIR FAHREN NACH BERLIN!!!!

BTW...starting 11 for spieltag 1 was as follows;

---------------Oka---------------

Ochs-----Russ------Vasoski----Spycher

-----------------Chris-------------------

-----Teber---------------Caio-------------

---------------Schwegler-----------------

----------Meier-------Amanatidis------

The only real big surprise was Vasoski, was there an issue with Franz? Or was this a management decision.

In Oxxenbach, Maik was not fully healthy and Skibbe had decided to go with Russ and Vasoski. They played well and Skibbe decided to go with those two to Bremen. (A good decision!!!!) The starting two are in great form and Maik has no option but to sit the bench for now. In a recent interview, Maik said that he has no problem that he hasn't yet started because the other two are playing very well. I like the way Franz has dealt with this situation and it shows his maturity and team-oriented mindset that he has. He did get some playing time today which must have been nice but maybe we will see him start soon.

I was wondering if anyone else thought it a bit odd that Meier is starting as a F and Libero was starting as a CAM.  I am just curious as it seems that skibbe is unsettled with the CAM position which is Meier natural position.  If you slide him back to CAM and start Fenin up front that should settle it.  I may be missing something but I was just curious if anyone had any additional information.

Also, with Ochs out for I believe 4 games due to his little penatly    the other day we should see Maik in the lineup whihc will be interesting to see how that effects the games.....
