Und das der Wechsel zu West Ham keine sportlichen Gründe hat liegt auf der Hand.
Hi a West Ham fan here...can i just ask why you all keep saying Haller is not moving for sporting reasons??
I honestly don't think any of you actually realise how big a club West Ham United are.
Please judge us at the end of this season.
We moved to a bigger stadium that is now 60,000 that will be increasing soon to 62,500 ( 2nd biggest stadium in premier league behind only Manchester United ).Will eventually be 66,000. We sell 54,000 season tickets every season again that's only second to what Manchester United sell.
West Ham left there old Stadium Upton Park so we could challenge for top 6 finishes.
We now have the right Manager here and he is trying to bring the right players in to challenge that top 6 and challenge in Europe over next few years.
Rome was not built in a day. But if you know nothing about West Ham please don't just think Haller is moving here just for money. We want him to push us on and challenge not be also runs.
There is a long term plan and West Ham are trying to build a team for that plan.

Well he's moving to West Ham to be in the spotlight for your top 6 clubs. With all the respect, I don't expect you to qualify for an european competition next season and highly doubt he's interested in the size of the stadium.

Lustig, auf welche Ideen manche kommen.

I appreciate the passion for your club, but I think there are several justified reasons for this perception:
- Your team isn't even in the Top 3 clubs in a single city (and yes, I accept that London is a big place), and in number of worldwide fans far behind Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham. When I walk through any big international city, I see about as many QPR jerseys as I see West Ham jerseys
- Frankfurt could also easily sell 54,000 season tickets easily if we had a bigger stadium, the demand is there. We don't own it and the owner is a bureaucratic organisation that is slow to expand.
- We went to the match of one of the most reputable London clubs at Chelsea and the atmosphere was pathetic. Come join ANY home game in Frankfurt against even the most irrelevant opponent, and you will experience true football atmosphere that goes far beyond singing the same 5 songs in a mellow way. Hey, you can even drink beer in our stadium and stand up from your seat!
- We have qualified twice in a row for a European competition now and made it to the semi-final in the Europa League. You've ranked mid table twice in a row. It's nice that you have a good plan, and we wish you luck. But right now, Haller could be playing internationally. So it's just not sporting reasons that matter in his move.
With all due respect... We are also building something here. We played in the Europe League last season until the semi final and got terminated against chelsea with a lot of luck on chelsea side. We were close to qualify for the champions league last season (i know the final result does not look like it, but its only the last few matches that we were not performing well). We are also a team that is basically building with a plan. So maybe its not us, who is underestimating you, but you who is thinking of us as a small unnoticable club.
The argument that you are planning with him to push further is void. That also works for us.
So what do you think made the difference for sebastien? triple the income maybe?
I dont doubt that you have a decent fanbase or that you have plans. But in the end its important to be honest with yourself - its most likely the money and not your grand plan. Realistically when will the hammers be able to compete with the top4 of the premier league? this will not happen fast. therefore do not be dissapointed if Seb will swap to another team in 1-2 years. Premier league will be an opportunity to show one of the top4/5/6 that he is worth the shot.
Btw i dont know if you have followed our road through europe last year, but it might be worth to check out some youtube videos about the atmosphere and our matches in general.
