Hello! My name is Axel Pershagen and I'm a swedish journalist. I'm working with a project about european football. At the time I'm writing about the players in your squad. Obviously I can manage some players, but the major part of the squad is more or less unknown to me. I've already gathered the statistics from kicker.de (date of birth, height, weight, squad number, etc.) what I'm looking for is more of the characteristics (pros and cons on the pitch).
Quick responses would be great because I'm on a tight deadline. (We always are, thats why we journalists always get it wrong )
Well, acually the deadline is tonight. I know it's shot time and I'm a little bit in over my head but I only need short pro's and con's to work with. I'm not writing a large report, just collecting info.
Well, I pushed my deadline a little bit so I could sitt use som help. Things I could need are some info about who the supporters like the best and why. Is there anyone you don't like? etc.
Mostly things that can't be read in the newspaper is of intresst.

Ok.. The "breaking news" are that Markus Pröll is the new first choice Goalkeeper, he replaces the crowd´s favourite Oka Nikolov.
The discussion about Michael Thurk you have noticed i think.
And the thing with the support, you should ask the "Ultras Frankfurt" they could help you i think!! Thats the web page : http://www.ultras-frankfurt.de/portal/
If you need more information about some players please write their names into this thread!
Maybe that helps a little.. I dont know what you alrady know from the Swedish newspapers..
aleksandar vasoski (central defender, joined us from skopje during 04/05's winter break - transfer fee: only 200,000 Euro. Now he's probably worth 2,000,000 Euro. Not that quick, but very strong and agressive, but still fair. Excellent defender at just 1.80m - header like Cannavaro)
albert streit (joined us from 1.FC Koeln where he played together with Lukas Podolski - this season he was even better than Podolski, he's "coming home" - he played for us some years ago. right or left wing midfielder with strengths especially in the offense. amazing pace, technique, crosses, dribblings. though 26, still seen as one of the greatest talents in germany)
jermaine jones (half-german, half-american. our team captain, defensive midfielder, assistant coach Armin Reutershahn had the idea to line him up at defensive midfield, though he originally was a striker. he's always someone who's "fighting" for the team, very important for the team, very agressive - sometimes a bit too much --> many yellow/red cards. misses due to an injury, he played with pain killers the half of the last season because he was injured.)
chris maicon hening (defensive allrounder, the only brazilian on the team. can play defensive midfield and central defender very good and was ranked 7th best defensive midfielder in German Bundesliga by the sports magazine "kicker". good technique, has "court vision" like basketballers would say and is strong at headers and positional play. injured at the moment, he had a spinal disc operation)
ioannis amanatidis (plays for the greek national squad, scored 12 goals in the last season. very agile striker, who is strong at headers - though he's not that tall - has a decent technique and sometimes tends to lose his temper)
Alexander Meier (great young offensive midfielder, 1.96m but no strenghts in the air, because he's very thin, great scorer - 7 goals and 9 assists in the 05/06 season, great passes - some see him as a genious, some critisize him because he seems very lazy and walks like a stork, he also has "court vision" as i called it before)
eintracht frankfurt has some very good youth players or young players in his squad. manager Heribert Bruchhagen and the other bosses of the club decided that they wanted to have mostly young players of the "Rhein-Main"-area like 2 or 3 years ago, because the club was nearly broke. Young players of course aren't that expensive and they always knew that their youth teams were very good. In the following years players like Patrick Ochs (one of the key players), Christopher Reinhard, Marco Russ, Daniyel Cimen, Alexander Huber who all once played on the youth teams of eintracht frankfurt joined the Bundesliga squad of Eintracht Frankfurt. Besides that Eintracht Frankfurt have signed several young players with great talent (like Alexander Meier, Jermaine Jones, Michael Fink, etc.) or internationally experienced players like benjamin huggel (fc basel, switzerland), christoph spycher (grashoppers, switzerland) or naohiro takahara (hamburg sv, japan). Eintracht Frankfurt wants to develop step-by-step and establish itself in the Bundesliga
that would be Jermaine Jones, Patrick Ochs, Aleksandar Vasoski, Ioannis Amanatidis
... because they always give everything for their team and besides of course, because they are great players.
Alexander Meier is quite hard to judge. as i wrote before, some call him genious and some see him as totally overrated. i personally think he's a genious, but he's young and still has some time to become a really great player.
Takahara has been critisized very hard, because he's not really a good scorer. I think he's quite a nice guy, i like him, but most of us don't.
Michael Thurk played for FSV Mainz 05 before, and between these two club there's a great rivalry. Most of the fans don't like him, some even curse at him during the games. He's got the nickname "Thurk du Sau" (translated literally: Thurk you pig) which means something bad I mean, he's not my favourite player, but i don't hate him like many eintracht fans.
