The idea to sign in a young talented custodian for the next season is a wise move from HB. But one thing he should not rub otta his mind, OKA is Frankfurt and the eagles's blood will flow inside his veins through out his life span.Oka has been with us through all ups and downs, in bad and in glorious times and in days when HB was not a celebrity in Frankfurt. Eintracht without OKA is like Frankurt without river Main or Eintracht without black red colours. Supporters can not imagine Eintracht without OKA. Eintracht supporters lets all campaign for a new contract for our idol, if not then he should join the trainer team. Lets pull it with one string for our one and only idol Oka Nikolov. YES WE CAN !!!!!

I think the best option would be Oka as a goalkeeper trainer. The only problem with that is we already have Andy Menger, who is already a fantastic keeper-coach. Oka has been VERY loyal to us, and we should remain loyal to him. If we want to see Eintracht in Europe soon, we need to have proll, zimmermannm and fahrmann. Sorry to Nikolov but we need him in the training staff.
i also think to keep players on contract just for the sake of paying back their loyalty should not be the main motivation. there's no pressure re our goalies, let's wait and see how they react. Proell has not played in goal consistently due to injuries and he has already asked re a transfer a year ago when he was on the bench.
if the situation after the season shows that there is no space for Oka, i am sure the club finds another job for him - that is if he himself wants that anyhow, maybe he decides that he needs a different challenge? who knows
I dont think that you have much to worry about, I think Proll is gone o the first oppotunity and we will be better with Oka, Zimmerman next year with Farmann to come the following year to compete with Zimmermann. I have doubts on Zimmermann as a starter. If he was that good a quality he should have been pushing Proll & Oka for playing time during the season with all the injuries, either way I think that he will be kept on in one role or another.
I agree with Schobberobber, we dont want to keep anyones contract just because, you need to contribute on the pitch to be paid as the Bundesliga is just to talented to carry contracts. The money could well be spent on the next "Der Bomber" oder "der Kaiser"
