Relegation????

#
I wanted to wait a bit to allow myself to cool down prior to writing this but I thought that the time has come. I am deeply worried about eintrachts prospects of staying in the bundesliga next year.  After only getting 1 point in the past two games at home which I thought we would have to win both or atleast get 4 points from.

I looked at the remaining schedule and I can not see that they are going to score more than 11 or 12 points the rest of the season and that will be right in the midst of the relegation battle with 31 or 32 points.  I find this down right embarassing when there is so much parity in the league and if they are relegated then both Funkel and Bruchhagen MUST go!!!!  Clearly something is amis if year after year we are competing for survival instead of competing for trophies.

They bring in players that dont even play for millions (Caio, Mehdi, etc.) and then allow players to leave that make a contribution to other teams.  (Jones, Marin, Streit, etc,)  His reliance on young players is fine but you must keep and sign veterans to lead the way.  I know that some of you say that we have good talent but if relegation does come Eintracht willl be in BIG trouble.  I would see most of the players leave with immediate effect such as Ama, Fenin, Meier as they will not want to play in the 2 liga.  I would be interested to see how many people of clauses in there contract to that avail that if relegated the contracts are relegated with immediate effect.  Let me make this clear, I do not want this to happen but if it does it could take several years to return to the bundesliga.

Just wondering how others are feeling and see others predictions, mine are as follows.  I think that they can throw in a surprise here and there and would not be surprised at that but my predictions are as they are playing now.

@ Karlsruher SC - Lose  (KSC is playing well here and Frankfurt are not.)
FC Schalke - Lose
@ Bielefield - Tie
Hoffenheim - Lose
@ Leverkusen - Lose
Cottbus - Win
@ Bayern - Lose
Monchengladbach - Win
@ Stuttgart - Lose
Dortmund - Lose
@ Hanover - Lose
Bremen - Lose (points could be gotten here)
@ Bochum - Tie
Hamburg - Lose

I surely hope that I am wrong at this!!!!

Karsruhe: we won

I think there is no problem to be first member of the new Relegation.

Let´s drub Kaiserslautern on Betze or Mainz out of Bruchweg-Stadium

Hell yeah you are
if you really think this is how the season will continue it merely shows you have no faith/confidence whatsoever in your team..

Yanazar,
Clearly you missed the point of the post, it is not meant for you to question my faith in the team as my last sentence states „I surely hope that I am wrong at this“ but at sometime you have to face reality that they are not playing well right now.  The fact that I am posting this to spark discussion proves this point as if I have given up I would not be doing anything.  I want to promote a discussion in what can be done and what other people think.

But if you need additional testimony to my devotion of Eintracht you need to come and sit with me every Saturday morning when I watch the games with all the Bayern, Hamburg, and Hertha fans here in the Miami at 8 in the morning.   All I hear from them is Tabelfuhrer this and Tabelfurher and how nice it is to win and compete in Europe, but I still come back so please do not test me.

If you a so brave please post what you think the results will bear and as you have predicted that they will be in 12th place at the end of the year it can not be much different from what I have stated.   May I remind you I was very optimistic and placed them at 5th at the end of year.  If that is not confidence in the team I dont know what is.

Well i don't think it's very productive to simply guess what's gonna happen in the upcoming games so i'm not gonna be "brave" and post the possible results of any of the upcoming matches, since it's impossible to predict how our boys will perform on the pitch and how our opponents will, it's simply what happens then which makes the difference between win, draw and loss.
Anyways, if you're saying that the team is not performing as well as they should, there is hardly any way i could disagree. The question however, that should be asked, (to me) is not "how bad are they?" but rather "what can be done to change that?". To improve it, however, one must find the cause of this. The lack of experience certainly is one of the causes and i'm still quietly hoping that the return of chris and vasoski will have a stabilizing impact on our defence and defensive midfield. Especially with Russ and Bellaid (and maybe Petkovic) it seems to me that they are lacking a leader back there. If they can get their act together we would certainly concede less goals.
But it's not enough, i'd say. Our OM seems to have lost all of their creativity. Also, we do not have a playmaker, an inspirational figure on the pitch motivating the others pushing them forward. Sort of what Amanatidis is good at. I was really disappointed with Meier's comeback, i must say, because i had pretty high expectations in him. His aura changed from that of a goalgetter or someone who can play that deadly pass to a tall shadow of his opponent. I really hope he can return to his former "glory" though.
So in answer to your wondering

i would say we have good chances of winning against the same teams as last year, although some of those games might turn out to be ties. Additionally i hope we can get a tie against hoffenheim or a win against bremen, whereas we're certainly gonna lose against teams such as HSV or Bayern - Yet as previously stated things can change for the better or the worse..

I agree, it is really hard to predict any outcome. It's been a struggle so far this season for a variety of reasons. Injuries are having the biggest impact in my view - it is simply unbelievable how many there are and how unlucky the team and coaching staff is. Now again Liberopulos broke a toe, Fenin also has toe problems and Vasoski has knee problems (all not sure how long they will be out).

The young players can only improve when they play a consistent set of games in the same or similar line up. But with all the changes (also bans like Chris for this stupid red card) it would be hard for any player to gain consistency and improve the game overall.

It is strange  - we had some not too bad games but lost them (i.e. away to Berlin where I went - think the second half was really promising) and now we had a terrible game v KSC but won. Against Wolfsburg we were on the way back into the game when this ridiculous penalty was given (the ball hit Kweukes arm covering his face in the free kick wall).

That shows how unpredictable this season is.

And after all that's the great thing about football init?

Anything goes!

cheers

I find it amazing that with all the injuries we are not sitting at the bottom of the table. But you know I always tell everyone it is so easy to be a Bayern fan, and when you go to The Eintracht Away in Bayern and the 10000 Eintracht fans are louder than the 50,000 plus Bayern fans it goes to show Frankfurt fans more fun, and it is for sure allot more interesting. Like Forrest Gump said " An Eintracht Game is like a Box of Chocolates, you never know what you are going to get"   ( Side Note:Fenin interview for the March Newsletter )
