Interesting Statistic - 08/09 season

#
Eintracht have 33 points after 31 games - only 4 of those points were against teams in the top 10. No wins and 4 draws against Wolfsburg, Stuttgart, Leverkusen and Hoffenheim.

Luckily they are unbeaten against all the other teams in the bottom 8.
29 points from them including the maximum 18 from the Gladbach, Cottbus and Karlsruhe games.

The Bundesliga is definitely stronger this season (Dortmund, Hertha, Hoffenheim for example) but its easy to see where they need to improve next season. Easier said than done!!

I am curious, did you look at the half time scores vs full time.  Last year eintracht had a terrible time keeping leads and was wondering if that was a similar theme this year.  I dont believe so but I have been meaning to look at this.

Interesting stats

No, I didnt check that.

The only reason I looked into the above was that I couldnt remember any games this season where they got a very good result. OK, they have had some good away wins.

Last season: win in Leverkusen, point at Bayern, home wins against Werder and Hamburg.

So I went and took a quick look at half time scores vs final results to see if this stat has improved compared to last year and it looks like they have done a much better job this year in maintaining points.

(w-t-l)
Half Time 5-12-14 27
Full Time 8-9-14 33

unfortunately the series of not losing against teams situated below us in the table is all over with 2-0 defeat at Bochum today. maybe we end the opposite series against Hamburg next weekend - that of not winning against a team ranked higher than Eintracht.

want more stats?

Only Dortund and Wolfsburg scored more headed goals than Eintracht (14).

No player hit the woodwork more often than Fenin (7 times)

Eintracht used the least substitutions (79)
