1.11.2009 All at Shamrock Rovers Football Club and his friends at Eintracht Frankfurt are deeply saddened at the passing of club member, Mícheál Ó Brolacháin.
Known to many as Rennie, Mícheál Ó Brolacháin was a committed Rovers man and a driving force behind the SRFC Ultras and also played a key role with the club in the development of SRFC TV and supplying match recordings to team management.
Living in Frankfurt for some years he started watching Eintracht Frankfurt. When in Germany he supported the Eintracht whenever possible home and away and became member of the club after his first away match with the fanabteilung (Freiburg 2003). His last visit to Frankfurt was in August 2009 to watch us beating Oxxenbach in the cup .....
Mícheál had recently been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment until his untimely passing.
We lost a dear friend, committed football fan and philosopher !
Sincere condolences to his son Fiachra and the Ó Brolacháin family from his friends in Frankfurt.
When they´re gone, beloved persons use to remind us that football could be something unimportant....sometimes Robert Enke did so and...in this case...Michael
Condolences to the family, the relations and the friends
