Three of us are coming from Edinburgh (Scotland) to Frankfurt for the Eintracht match against Schalke.
It will be our first time in Frankfurt and at the Commerzbank Arena.
Our hotel is near the main station (Hauptbahnhof). What is the best way to get from Hauptbahnhof to the stadium? Is there a train or tram etc? Also are there any pubs near the stadium where we can get a pre-match pint with the Eintracht supporters?
Take S8 or S9 direction Wiesbaden from Hauptbahnhof. Go two stops (4 min), get off at Stadion and walk with the crowd to the food stands at the parking lot to your left at the end of the road. Outside the stadium fence, hence better, cheaper and nicer than inside. You will meet many of us there as of 1300. If you want to warm up even before the Irish Pub opposite the main entrance to Hauptbahnhof is a convenient option (coming from the station cross the road and turn right, pub is at the next corner). After the game your best option are the many pubs in Alt Sachsenhausen. Try our unique cider (Ebbelwoi)... you lads are going to love it there, honestly i have to say these fans are the best in the world,& what a stadium. there are a few stalls on the way to the stadium selling beer and bratwurst and scarfs shirts and stuff, also when you go through the security check and ticket check they got beer and bratwurst there too a little dearer than outside but its all good.

Had a few bottles of beer with some Eintract supporters outside the small 24hr bar across from the Main Station Saturday morning/afternoon. We then got the train to the station outside the stadium where we got a few pictures taken before making our way round to the West Kurve, via many beer and bratwurst stops off course. ,-)
Managed to get into the terrace in the West Kurve and stood with the Eintracht fans for the whole match, thought the atmosphere was fantastic, everyone delighted we got to take part in the 'Hey Eintracht Frankfurt' chant
Shame Eintracht didn't go on to get the winner as it would've been well deserved.
No doubt we'll be back over for another match soon.
