You need to consider the fact that the tema has been training pretty hard these last couple days, so it's normal that they couldn't perform as well as expected. Plus, Daum is just observing at the moment. You'll see some changes against Wolfsburg. Daum know how to get the maximum out of his players. So, I'm expecting a much better performance from underperforming players under his command.
More importantly, he should be given the sole authority in transfer at the end of the season. He has a very good database of Latino players and if given enough budget, not enormous but just enough, he could make Frankfurt a contender in the league. In my opinion, he's up there with the likes of Mourinho and Capello.
What he's doing right now with Frankfurt players has been done in Fortune 500 companies for decades. Behavioral Management it is called, and he's just starting apply these techniques. You win it first in your mind and collectively. He will form a real team out of these individuals, and with the help of new talent Frankfurt will become a very strong team next year. All he needs is support from the management up top. The best thing they can do is leave him be!
