Looks like I'll be heading to Europe around the time Borussia Dortmond plays Eintracht. Going to try and get a ticket. That will be a great game!
#
This after I bought my first jersey last year! Anyway it looks great. Maybe I'll get a new one this year. I hope they don't change too much. I like the vertical stripes.
#
I could not watch the game here in Toronto but saw the tweets coming in as I worked. w00t as we say in North America. the Eagles are back to Bundesliga 1. Now I have to find out what the schedule is so I can see a game next season. Congratulations to the team for on putting together a great season. Two more games to go and time to build for next year.

For Christmas I received a few items from Frankfurt delivered by Santa to Toronto. A new jersey with the only Canadian on the roster on my jersey, Rob Friend no. 29. I also received a scarf, some stickers and a cap.

Now for the new year I'm looking to see Eagles promoted to the 1st division and hopefully a ticket to Dynamo Dresden game on March 18th.

The Eurosportplayer is not available in North America. However if you use a VPM connection with a European IP it might work. I say might as I have not subscribed to test it out. You can reach the Eurosportplayer web site with a European IP, that at least I've tested.

In Norway you can watch every match live with the Eurosportplayer(www.eurosportplayer.com). Cost not much and it should be easy to find out if it working in the US too.

Good news.

It is not officially confirmed yet by the clubs but newspapers in Germany and this portal of Ghana reported a move of Mohammed Abu from Man City to Eintracht:

Wow, after the first half I thought it was deja-vu again for the end of last season. But they came back and showed some guts. So all in all a good win but far from where they want to be. The defence needs some work and they need to control the ball more.

The BWIN webcast was very good and even had english commentary.

Looking forward to next weeks game already

Enjoy the weekend.

Thanks for the information. How does that budget compare to the avg and high budget for Bundesliga 1? I'm curious to see how these numbers compare to sports in North America.

19 million Euros - much lower than last year but a lot higher than the other team budgets in 2. Bundesliga.

Well matchday 1 is upon us and while the game is on during working hours here in Canada I will try to watch the webcast via BWIN as that appears to be my only option. The screen may be small and there is no commentary but it will have do to.

I'm hoping that the Eagles beat the odds and get promoted back into the Bundesliga 1 in their first attempt. Should be an interesting season.

A couple of questions:

Is there any radio commentary available in english?
What is the team budget?

I'm going to assume that Eintracht is going to be in the top 4 this year fighting for promotion, well because they have to to, right? So my question is who are the other teams that will be at the top of the table fighting it out with them?

Thanks
Marc

I have seen the seating plan. I'll contact you by email then. Thank you.

Dresden is a league climber. A team which should not be underestimated but I don't think they will be one of the top 5 teams next season. But it will be an interesting game because Dynamo Dresden has a huge tradition (players like Matthias Sammer or Ulf Kirsten arose from this club) and loyal supporters. So you will experience an amazing atmosphere.

Concerning your ticket-question: did you check out the seating plan? http://www.eintracht.de/english/stadium/seating_plan/

I suggest that you send me an e-mail with your wish to buy business seats. I will pass it on - a.kolz@eintrachtfrankfurt.de

Gol tv only shows Bundesliga 1 games. I had to use BWIN and the Window is small.
#
I'm looking at the schedule now. it looks like my best date would March 18th vs Dresden. Are they good team? last year I had upper deck seats, is it possible to buy business seats on h lower level?

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the new players. Hopefully they will be strng enough to warren promotion.
#
Thanks for the information, very useful. Sorry to see Ochs gone, I liked his style of play.
#
I noticed the team is already doing some early training in Switzerland. They now have a new coach, new goalie, and new midfielder.

So I have some questions?

1. Which key players won't be back? I haven't read much about this.

2. Can they put together a team that can compete for promotion right away.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new season's schedule. I might have a chance to see another game this fall on a business trip. Don't get too many opportunities each year coming from Canada.

I had a blast at the game and they won!! I took a bunch of pictures I'll post when I get a chance. Here's one showing Chris scoring the second goal.

Thanks, heading to the game soon. Want to see the Stadium etc. I could not find a jersey to fit me, I'm a big Canadian
#
I just got into Frankfurt and am excited about seeing the Eagles play saturday. I might head over to the stadium to get a jersey this afternoon.

There was some hope in the last 2 minutes but it was a tough loss. A draw would have been a good result considering how they played. However Nikolov should have had the cross on the second Hannover goal. He was not aggressive enough and he let Konan push ahead of him to head the cross and winning goal.

Thanks, I had found that site was going to try it this week. If anyone else has other sites please let me know.
