You were right - no problems in Sweden apart from the cost of beer! We took about 1,000.
Next up, some team from Rumania that I've never heard of but not as bad as your trip to Assarbaijan !!! God knows where that is and who the team you are playing are.
Never mind I am confident we'll both get through to the group stage and then we can crank up the blood pressure a little

Thanks,matey. Yeah,4-0 was a great result but the performance was out of this world. One of our best performances ever.
I share your hope that SCFC and SGE can be grouped together. From previous posts you will have gathered it is my football dream. Let's keep hoping.
I have also cut an interesting deal with "the Boss" (my wife) , that is ,she and my daughter are off to London to see a ballet, the quid pro quo being my son and I come over to Frankfurt for a weekend and,of course,get to see the mighty Adler.We will go for tickets for one of the less fashionable fixtures just to make sure we can get them before booking flights etc. It will be sometime early in the New Year.
Good luck for tomorow, I can't see you having any difficulties there.

Another season is now upon us and as ever on behalf of my family and friends (and of course my goodself) we extend to you our very best wishes for the coming campaign. I am confident that both our clubs are going to have great seasons although I see that you have a very tough start,as do we. But bring it on !!!
In Europe we have an interesting tie against either Hibs or Malmo,probably Malmo who are already 2-0 up. We play on 1st August at home and I can't wait.
I see SGE have made some signings,are you happy with them? What are your feelings for the coming season? Will there be a push by you for the fabled land of Champions League?
Keep in touch my friends,and remember this will be the season when I come over and meet up with you to share a few beers and tales of our victories. Hopefully my German will have improved enough so that you can teach me some of your songs

Good morning my proud Frankfurter friends !!! What a game! All lost in the first half hour and then all won in the dying seconds.Very many congratulations .I am now praying that we will be grouped together so that we can party together in both our beautiful cities. Does anyone know when the draw will be made?
We play Fulham later today in our last game of the season when traditionally all our friends gather in the "Cwrcyn" for excessive amounts of beer and singing. You can depend on me raising a glass or two to the glorious SGE and their amazing fans!
This season has been spectacular for SCFC and SGE and has been particularly satisfying for me having found this site and enabling me to forge closer links with die Adler. Long may it continue.
I will have my camera with me today so will post all photos next week.
Once again many congratulations, keep in touch, and good luck for next season (August is only three months away!)

My good Frankfurt friends it is no longer a dream but reality!!! When I first visited this site I jokingly remarked how wonderful it would be for SCFC and SGE to meet in the Champions Lge. Well the Europa League will certainly do for me and I expect most of you will be happy with that also. For the two loves of my life to be in the same competition is mindblowing!!! Could it possibly be that we will meet together on the field of play? What partying together that will bring! I am very confident you will do the business against W'Burg.
Did anyone see our game against Man Utd yesterday? We played very well and deserved at least a draw. They only allowed us 1500 tickets but still the Jack Army made ourselves heard. One game left and what a season it has been for both our clubs. Roll on next August.

A superb result against Schalke,boys. Many congratulations.
Good luck for Sunday. Every game is now vital for that precious Champions League spot. It would be outstanding to see SGE emulate Bayern and Dortmund who have both been dynamic in Europe. I have been telling my friends for some time that the Bundesliga is the best in Europe buy many insist that the Prem League is still no.1. Quite frankly the Prem League is poor this year and must be reflected in English clubs disappointing performance in the CL (I accept Chelsea are doing well in the Europa Cup but that is little consolation for a league touted as the best in the world)
The PL will also be much,much worse next season with the promotion of Cardiff City ,popularly regarded by us as the enemies of civilized society.
I will be thinking of you on Sunday my friends.

Good luck today boys. I predict a good 2-0 score for SGE.
We were robbed of a point yesterday simply because some refs and linesmen don't know the rules of the game. It's pathetic but when this happens we tend to put things right in the next game - so look out Arsenal !
Michael Laudrup has signed a 1 year extention to his contract and says he is happy with the way things are going and is looking for contiued success. So all very exciting here at the moment. Can't wait for Europe next season.

Gentlemen, I have not forgotten my beloved SGE but have just returned from Canada and prior to that three weeks non stop working so that time has been very limited. Spent lots of time with Hamburg and Werder B fans on holiday. They do not understand the SGE opium !!!
SCFC on top of the world . I hope you get Champions League but what a dream (at least for me) if we are both in Europa.
Will post in more detail over the weekend but SR I would be grateful for Oldham details.
Finally, SGE scarf flown over many Rocky Peaks this last two weeks .The Mounties don't always get their man !

Sorry for the delay in posting but I have had difficulties with sending off my replies. I hope this one gets through.
SGE 77 - thanks for your comments. The only problem is that since securing our Wembley place we have failed to score in the last three games which is worrying.
Mowe - Tremmel is superb. Laudrup has played him in all our cup games and I am sure he will be in for the final.
Edinburg - the ballboy was out of order but didn't deserve to be kicked. I'm glad it has now blown over as Hazard is a good player and doesn't deserve anything more than the usual ban.
Well done SGE for the good start after the winter break. I think Champions League is well within your capabilities but if not then the Europa Cup could see us come together ! A dream come true!!!
Who are these mysterious Oldham fans who support SGE ? Could we not get together and form a UK supporters club for the mighty SGE ?

SGE 77. I think you can get flights from Frankfurt to Bristol which is about 2 hours from Swansea by car.Our nearest airport is Cardiff but I don't think they have a Frankfurt service. Let me know what your plans are and we can meet for a few drinks. The ticket office number is 08448 156665. If you have difficulties let me know and I'll see what I can do.
We are out of the FA Cup losing 1-0 to Arsenal in the replay but if we can get a result against Chelsea then we are off to Wembley again with the chance of our first major trophy in 100 years of football!
I will need to take a few more photos before posting them but they will all have an SGE/SCFC theme. I unfurled my SGE scarf in a packed Cwrcyn (our pub) at our last game and loads of people wanted to know about SGE and my connection with you. So lots more interest in SGE in this part of the world !
My son's Frankfurter friend in Canada is called Lucas. Anyone kow him?

Morning Tom
There were 20500 at the Villa game. We were excellent in the first half and should have been 3 or 4 up. We were very disappointing in the second half and were happy for a point at the end of the day. I wore my SGE scarf and took photos in the pub with my mates and at the ground and will post some when I have taken more.
We are extending the ground capacity to 30-32000 with work starting next year so I guess we are planning to stay in the Prem !!!
The atmosphere in our ground ( the Liberty) is always very loud and passionate particularly from the East Stand, although we all join in when the team needs it. Our away support is also immense which is impressive because we are so far away from all other clubs in the Prem.

My dear Mowe, so good to read your post and I am thrilled that The Mighty Swans are known in Germany and that you have adopted us as your second team. Hopefully we will not let you down! A mere 10 years ago we were bottom of the 4th tier of English football, 10 points from safety,and at risk of bankruptcy and going out of business. At that point there was a fans revolution with the club owners at that time being forced to flee for their lives! The club was bought by true fans who still own it and drive it on. We have the largest Supporters Trust in the country with the Trust owning about 30% of the Club so we hope our future is secure.
Whenever you or any SGE fans want to come over you will be made very welcome by all my friends,family and of course me! For my part I very much regret that I will be unable to see The Mighty Adler this season as we are off to Canada for 2 weeks to see my boy. However, I have been promised faithfully by my wife (the Boss) that next season it will definately happen. I really hope so.
My daughter's boyfriend sent me for Xmas an Eintracht scarf. The first colours for SGE I have ever had. I will wear it today for our game against Aston Villa for luck and will have some photos taken which I shall post in due course.
So as always - keep the faith and remember "meine Stadt mein Verein meine Eintracht"

A very Merry Christmas to all my SGE friends and here's hoping for a continuation of our beloved clubs success in the PL and Bundesliga for 2013. Froliche Weihnachten !
We were unlucky against Spurs and should have beaten Norwich at home having gone down 3-0 at half time we fought back to 3-2 then scored a perfectly good goal which was wrongly disallowed. Our last game saw us earn a very creditable 1-1 against Man Utd.
30 points at your Winter break must be a dream come true. Players back from injury should see you carry on where you left off or even improve on it. Europe is now a very real prospect.
I must share with you a very proud moment . My young son has a winter job working on the ski lifts in a little Canadian town called Firney in British Colombia. He met there a young German lad who also works on the lifts and comes from..............Frankfurt!!! He is,of course, a big SGE fan. My boy told him our family all love Eintracht and now the Rockies echo with songs of both our clubs. I will be speaking to my boy later today and will find out his friends name and let you know. Perhaps he will be known to some of you.
I must go now to open my presents,hopefully an SGE shirt !!!

Gentlemen, I have to share with you my euphoric delight at our 2-0 win away at Arsenal in front of 60000 fans.We are now 7th and 3 pts outside the top four.I was not there ,unfortunately,as winter has arrived here in my beloved Wales and I have to snowplough etc and keep the roads clear.Laudrup and our Spanish boys are out of this world and I think that European football is on the horizon!
Mainz and Dusseldorf I think have been unexpected but the Bundesliga is as surprising as the PL so we keep on believing in our teams with confidence that success will be ours in the end.
Mainz must have been very painfull,similar to SCFC losing to Cardiff City who are the enemies of our our blood.Feedback on the game and the following emotions would be grately appreciated as it is hard from afar to get a true appreciation of how you boys are hurting.

Superb result today.It shows beyond question that SGE are back to stay and are once again going to be a force to be feared.Forget about the bottom teams and concentrate on those above you as I really believe you are going to have one hell of a season.
I will celebrate tonight with some fine Welsh beer -"Cwrw braf " in our native tongue.
