Funny enough Alex Meier seems to become our 'life insurance' now - as great as it is to see him score again (even twice yesterday), there is a worry that the others don't live up to it.

Hopefully Idrissou, Hoffer and Friend prove me wrong against Düsseldorf!

A bit of a de ja vus, remember when Tosun left for Turkey and scored lots right away? Gekas is now on 6 goals in 5 matches for Samsunspor - including a hattrick against Fenerbahce who could have gone level with top of the table Galatasaray.

Looking at Idrissou's injury (might be on the bench on Sunday though) and the Helmes transfer not happening I would have liked to keep Gekas in the squad.

At least Fürth lost today!

Fully agree on Buthscher and Amedick, both also have helped clubs to get promoted which might help.

With Abu we'll see, maybe he gets some appearances in the African Cup of Nations and a boost from that.

Time to get the ball on the pitch again!

Veh's Süffisanz dient doch meist dazu, die Journalisten auf den Teppich zu holen, die ständig die Eintracht als haushohen Favoriten sehen, der wir einfach nicht sind. Oder auch um den anderen Topteams entgegenzuwirken, die ebenfalls die SGE in die Favoritenrolle drücken und so unter Druck setzen wollen.

Dass es der Mannschaft an Einsazt fehlt sehe ich anders, denn sie hat oft sehr spät noch gewonnen oder einen Punkt geholt. Klar wünscht man sich sie würden ihre spielerische Überlegenheit häufiger in Tore ummünzen und die Dominanz durchziehen. Aber bei einer Mannschaft die so umgekrempelt wurde kann man das auch nur bedingt erwarten (am 1. Spieltag standen 5 Neuzugänge in der Startelf).

Das sogenannte Nachrüsten halte ich für sinnvoll, um manche Positionen stärker zu besetzen bzw mehr Alternativen zu haben und den Stammspielern mehr Konkurrenz zu machen.

Flach spielen, hoch gewinnen ist das Stichwort

PS - der Vergleich mit Skibbe hinkt an allen Ecken und Enden!

Lived and worked in London / UK for 11 years. Not that difficult with visa, work permit etc due to the European Union. And also not with kick off times as the time zone is just an hour ahead of Germany. A great experience altogether.

..with his team Alemannia Aachen on Sunday. He was five years at Eintracht as their manager, the Eagles got promoted and reached the cup final during that time. What are your thoughts on Funkel and how do you remember the time with him as the team's head coach?

CEO Heribert Bruchhagen's contract was extended for another two years (Sports, Marketing and Public Relations) by Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG (the company), and Axel Hellmann was appointed for Finances and Organisations, he is currently Vice President of the club Eintracht Frankfurt e.V.

What are your thoughts on these recent developments?
