Well I think Clark will be a good fit to our style of play in Frankfurt. I am lucky that I was asked to attend the press conference for the official announcement to act as a translator for Ricardo Clark. If you have a question you would like for me to ask him leave it here and I will ask him as I am interviewing after the press conference for the Feb. 2010 English Newsletter. The press conference is scheduled for 13:30 CET , 21 Jan. 2010 so any questions after that time will not be able to be asked. For the American fans Germany is 6 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

I was asked today if Eintracht were to offer the games at home with a live internet audio only broadcast would you be willing to pay a small fee to help offset the cost to listen to the games in English?

I have no idea, I know I myself would be willing to do it if it was not a crazy price... What do you think?

The only thing Meier has going for him is his height. With him being in the forward position it just works for the Flanking system that Eintracht has always liked to play. Meier in my opinion is not the perfect Center Middle Field Player. He lacks the ball control when the ball is at his feet and he does not for see the play coming up. I think Lincoln would be a good asset and it would also make Skibbe happy as he gets a player he really wants and I think would do us some good. We have the talent we just need to find the right combination and I think Skibbe is doing well to try to find that...
#
I would like to see us keep both of them and let them play together on the pitch. I think it would be a good thing not only for the team but also for the fans.

Hey Holger, Does the the Premiere League do the same thing? I do follow the Bundesliga quite well and I guess it makes sense to a point but man it always does not make sense that the referees do not get punished for their mistakes... That to me is something that should be really looked at..... Vented again... Thanks for the info guys..

Look maybe someone can help me understand, it seems to me every time someone int he Bundesliga gets a red card they get suspended for multiple games. This year it has happened to Ochs and now with Russ. Ochs I can understand as it was a very hard foul but Russ... I mean the automatic one game suspension was more than enough. Ok I have vented a bit I continue with my work...

Hey this is a good idea, I like it alot and thought that you could do alot more that just interview players.  Maybe do clubhouse or stadium tours or even the Eintracht Museum.  You could even interview some fans from abroad.  Keep up the good work as anyway that I can get information I can feed my eintract addiction is a good thing.

The next video we make will have some of those ideas, we want to introduce the members of the English newsletter to you guys and the plans for the stadium tour, Fan Block tour during Game Day, and Museums tour has been in the thought process. The videos are added ideas to give the readers of the Newsletter something new. All ideas for videos are welcome. Thanks for all your feedback.

really a good idea   ...as eintracht is well-known all over the world and i think that many people with a non-german mother-tounge appreciate to here, see and read something what eintracht and their players concerns...
it´s the very first time i saw an interview of an eintracht-player in english ... and i was very surprised to see preuß communicating in a quite fluent english...  but... anyway, i doubt that a large number of other eintracht-players will be in a position to do so the way he did...
hopefully i´m wrong....

The plan for the non-English speaking player will be to write their text in ENglish below the interview.. I just bought software to do that. Believe it or not most of the players speak English and with a little prep. they do very well.

Skibbe is a very strict trainer and when you come to practice you better come with your A- Game... If you think your spot on the team is automatic it is not. Korkmaz and Steinhofer have been coming to practice and not taking it serious. I like Skibbe's attitude when it comes to this as then forces them to play the way they train which for us as a fan allows us to see better games. Which without a doubt we have seen so far this year. The team is playing better than I have seen in a very long time.
#
First thanks for the feedback.. As I am not a professional at this I am sure it will get better in time. I work on airplanes professionally. Also being a fan of the team also sometimes makes it a bit difficult to interview players that you look up to..Make sense?

Second, you should really subscribe to the newsletter.....

Ok gals and girls. As a new thing for the newsletter we tried something new creating a video interview. To my suprise not many people have not watched it and I have got zero feedback on it. For those of you who have not seen it here is the link:

Please let me know what you think and or what we can do to make things better. There are plans to do more but if our readers do not like them then there is really no need. Thanks for your input.

What is your summary of his time with Eintracht?

Did the supporters treat him fair? I think he did well getting the team back into the Bundesliga but for me it was like groundhogs day.... Every game was the same story.

Was it the right decision to let him go? Yes it was, time to bring new ideas and a new playing style to the club.

What were the greatest moments with Funkel in the last 5 years? Had to be making it back in the Bundesliga and to the final of the German Trophy

What was his biggest mistake? Not playing Caio without a doubt.

Will our next coach stay 5 years (or even longer) as well? Nope.....

Which player will be sad, which one will be happy that he left? Well I think Caio will be happy that he is gone and I think Proell will be sad that he is gone.
#
Will he be a valuable new player? I hope so but he has to play smarter...

Will he get along with Amanatidis? Of course

Was it right to give him a contract for 4 years? I do not think so, allot to give a new player who you do not know will work in your system...

Will he make it without red cards next season? No Way

How can we be sure he won't be injured once again like this season? If things were that easy to determine we all would be Bayern fans. I mean for god sake I can only hope we do not have all the injuries like this year.

Are you glad we got another leader, an emotional player? I am glad we got him for sure, we need some leadership in the back...
#
I would like to see Oguchi Onyewu play for the Eintracht, that would be awesome!!
#
I do not think he has had any success with the Bundesliga teams he has coached. I remember him with Dortmund but I do not remember for how long.... Of course Magath was by the Eintracht and look at him now... Who knows, I am just ready for some new ideas for the team and hopefully a more aggressive style of play.
#
So as of today Funkel's last day as trainer for the Eintracht Frankfurt will be the last home game of the season. My opinion is it is about time. Funkel did great at building the team back up when we were at the lowest but he does not bring anything new to the team and I think it is time for a bit of fresh air. I do thank him for the time he gave us as our trainer but I am now looking forward to see who our new trainer will be.

Marin is already going to Bremen
#
There are no Bundesliga matches in July.. Season normally starts up again toward the end of August, beginning of Sept.

I find it amazing that with all the injuries we are not sitting at the bottom of the table. But you know I always tell everyone it is so easy to be a Bayern fan, and when you go to The Eintracht Away in Bayern and the 10000 Eintracht fans are louder than the 50,000 plus Bayern fans it goes to show Frankfurt fans more fun, and it is for sure allot more interesting. Like Forrest Gump said " An Eintracht Game is like a Box of Chocolates, you never know what you are going to get"   ( Side Note:Fenin interview for the March Newsletter )
