Nikolov is #1 not Pröll! Nikolov in Cottbus this season was a wall against Energie, Pröll must be the second goalkeeper. Given is a really good goalkeeper but in UK there are only other 2/3 good goalkeepers: Cech, Robinson and Jaskelainen then nothing. But in the next match nothing will can save Given by our bombing, I'm sorry but the magpieses can't stop the Eagles: it's only the nature law

1.) Why did your stadium look so empty for the Celta Vigo game?
2.) Is it true that you tried to create a false atmosphere by giving every fan a scarf to wave about when you played Portsmouth yesterday?
,-)
1) Celta Vigo was a 'small' game for us. We have had no trouble in Group H so far... and expect to get another 3 points against you.
Hi Craig from an Italian Eagle. You're joking for sure, 'cos if Eintracht wants to win your team has not chance against us. Even if we're ready to humiliate Newcastle and its supporter in Germany (it's a joke of course), I have to say that Newcastle is a nice team and I remember when in the middle of the 90's with Keegan as trainer you fought against Man UTD to win the Premiere League with Asprilla, Ginola (a great talent sure), Beardsley and so on. You have had one of the best scorer on UK football history, Alan Shearer: a true strenght of nature. But, fortunately, he will not be in Frankfurt for the next match
Hope in great match and in a big and lots of goals Eintracht victory...
Without words! After ten minutes I thought that we could win easy but then the catastrophe. With Dortmund will be a hell, the only good thing is to play in our home. But we have lost the chance to make 3 victory one by one with 3 teams like our. Let's hope but win against Dortmund would be a miracle
Of course, this week can be unforgivable for all of us. It's possible make 3 victories this week against Cottbus (yesterday) and against Bielfeld in Frankfurt and in Bochum. Like I thought at the begining of the season, Takahara can begin a VIP (very important player) for EF. If Funkel decided to play with 2 forwards like Amanatidis and Takhara we could become unstopable. Go Ahead Eagles! ,-)
I have seen the result on TV and it made me full of joy!! Before to be an Eintracht supporter I am a fanatic Real Madrid supporter and while we have won 4-1 against Steaua the proud Barça is been humbled by Chelsea, . Next sunday, we'll destroy them in our stadium that will be a hell full of mad supporters like me. Hala Madrid! Thanks Drogba. ,-)
I think that our first defeat in this season it's incredible. Eintracht has played a good game with attention in defence and good counterstrike. Funkel has done a really good job for our defense and we have without some excellent players like Chris, Preuß and our captain Jones but Streit is being fantastic for the goal and his free kick in the last mintutes (Fontana has broken in my throat the scream GOL). Thurk has played a good match (as usual) too and I see that he is a fighter that can argue with his teammates or his opposings: an idol! I think that this result is a big lie: Palermo has made only 3 kicks to our goal and 2 goals, we have ruled the game and only the goal post has saved Fontana from Amantidis. Maybe Funkel could make entered Takahara in the middle of second half to try to win the match. The referee is being obscene with some decisions against us, just like an outside against Thurk in the first half when he was alone against a defender and a goalkeeper. But, peace, it's gone so now we must restart to try to make a good results against Fenerbahce and Celta, 'cos I think very difficult to make good result against Newcastle.
For me it's been the first time that I could see Eintracht on TV , but in Italy TV the technical commentator was a brash Palermo supporter all his words it was about "Palermo can win this game 'cos it's ruling the game (when... )" and if the referee made a mistake about us he sad "We must understand his decision, everyone can made a mistake" but if the mistake was against Palermo (an event tonight) it was an incredible mistake and every fouls commited by us had to have a yellow card. And for all the match Rambuadi, the commentator that was a very weak player, isn't be able to say Eintracht in the correct way: ridiculous! But for a bit of luck, I have could see Eintracht on TV. Now we must make a good result next weekend. What do you think about tonight guys?
Enjoy all EF sad supporter!

I'm become an Eintracht supporter following some higlights matches on an italian TV program called Settimana Gol that showed all the goals from european championships. After by a friend, I started to know something more about EF with a PC Game, Championship manager for example its players like Weber, Kutschera, Nikolov and Zampach. Then after the promotion in 1.Bundesliga in 1998-99 I could follow the Eagles by a italian weekly magazine Guerin Sportivo, that spoke about all the european championships. Then in a big fair near my town I found the beautiful shirt of Eintracht in the season 1995-1996, the yellow sponsered by Tetrapack and right away I bought it and made put on it the number 8 of our captain Ralf Weber (I couldn't put on it the number of my favourite player of that period Ansgar Brinkmann -32-). After some years, around the 2000, I started to search more information on internet and from that time I followed EF by its official site. Where I work, a girl that is a supporter of Real Madrid (like me) and UC Sampdoria thinks I'm crazy 'cos, for her, I'm the only one in Italy who is an Eintracht supporter, but probably what she says, it's true. Now I wish that some italian tv station can broadcast the match against Palermo so for the first time in my life I could see Eintracht live on TV.
I think to be one of the few Italian Eintracht supporter, but I'm never been in Germany (once when I was going to Salzburg last year I entered in the south of Germany for a hour to make a short way). So I'm never been in Frankfurt but one day I want to go in Frankfurt 'cos it seems to me a beautiful city after to have seen it so much times in the TV series Ein Fall Für Zwei .
Was Joseph Matula an Eintracht supporter too?

Completely agree. Much better suffer in UEFA Cup than rule in 2.Bundesliga. In two years Funkel has done a very good work!
Even the fantastic Eagles this years don't have known a defeat until today, in UEFA Cup nothing could be more hard. Newcastle United, Celta Vigo, Fenerbahce and Palermo (at the first position in Italian championship) are very good team and it will be very hard go on in the competition, but the eagles doesn't have fear of nobody! It's good that the match aginst Palermo will be played in our stadium 'cos ths match could be more harder if played in La Favorita, the Palermo stadium, a really hell for the passion of its pubblic.
I'm very sad 'cos our powerful defender Vasoski would like to go to play at Newcastle. I know that for a player is a dream to play in one of the best Premier League team, but I'd like that he remains in Eintracht for a lot of years. To lose a defender this year that we have a good defense is terrible, let's hope tha tif he wants to go away, he will go away the next year!

Some years ago (1996), a TV station called Tele+ broacasted a program, "Settimana Gol" -Goal Week"- where they made seen all the goals from Spain, Germany & UK. And then I listened about a team called Eintracht that had some players like Zelic, Köpke, Nikolov, Okocha, Hagner, Becker that had an horrible season and went to 2 Bundesliga. Some months later, I asked to my friend to search in a PC game (Football Manager) to find the list of players of a team of 2 Bundesliga: Eintracht Frankfurt, I wanted to see who were the new players of Eintracht. In the same time, I bought the 2nd mesh of EF for the saison 95/96 (the yellow with sponsor Tetrapak). The next season when EF returned in Bundesliga I started to read about its matches by a football italian weekly (Guerrin Sportivo) and from when I've got an Internet connection I am become a more stronger EF supporter (but I am a more stronger and fanatic Real Madrid ultras).

Lavagna in a little, small town near Genoa in north Italy. I've seen the videos of the match against Brondby on web and I've found some news of the last sunday match in an Italy web site. But I'm waiting for the videos too.

Another great day 4 Eintracht and its supporters: a large victory against Bayer in which everybody could see the proud of Eintracht that was losing for 0-1 and with two fantastic forwards (Takahara and Thurk) could win for 3-1. Now we are 7° in Bundesliga and until now nobody won the Eagles in their season. Fantastic!

Hello, I looks out for eintracht fans from foreign countrys, who would help me with the structure of a fan-site. A few German knowledge would be desirable, but not necessary. Simply write me a private message. Then we will discuss further.
PS: Sorry, my English isn't very good!
Thank you!

If I were a web-desinger, I could be help you 'cos I think that your idea is fantastic above all after the hat trick of Thurk in UEFA Cup. But if you will open an on-line fansite, I will be the first to join in it, sure!
Sorry guys, but I can't understand how to put my avatar in my profile settings. I don't understand the German language in the menu, so can someone help me? Danke schöne

Thanks 4 the news and the link. Hope that Ama will be ready for the fight next sunday, we absolutely need 3 points, but will be without Vasoski and Spycher that have had a red card the last match. This year our players will must be more quiet: 3 red cards in 3 matches of Bundesliga, it's ok to be rude in a match but no in this way...
Thanks Sacki, against only players is more easy to win, but always 4 goals after to have scored only 2 goals in 3 Bundesliga matches are outstanding... Do you know if Amanatidis (the best Eintracht forward since the time of Yeboah) has had a serious accident last night? I think Takahara is a good player but Ama is #1!
Last night is one more reason to be proud to be an Eagles supporter! Sorry for my confusion with the name of my new hero. But Sunday it will be hard against the Bayer even if Bayer is not strong like few years ago when played against Real Madrid (my other football-love) in Glasgow. But someone can explain to me what's happened at the begining of the second half when 2 Brondby players have had a red card? I could not see the match on TV.

I don't still believe that the team that hasn't yet won in Bundesliga tonight has scored 4 goals to Brondby, one of the most powerful Northern Europe team. Until tonight I don't like Marcus Thurk but after the 3 tonight goales, for me he is another player. Go on in this way and we can make something good in UEFA Cup, the eagles are back to fly high on the skies of Old Continent. The return match in Denmark will be a holiday for our players. I hope with all my heart that is nothing that injury of Amanatidis, Ioannis we want you saturday ready to play!
