40 Freunde fliegen von Edinburgh fur wochenende. 5 (Insel Affen) Kollegen kommen mit mir von Frankfurt.

You would see them on the way up from the train station to the stadium maybe.

I emailed them in July to ask if they would give the dates quicker for this season - but they obviously wont be quicker. They did reply but not with any useful information!!

I see that Schalke announced today their Uefa Cup game is Tuesday 16th so maybe they can now give the dates for games between 19th and 21st. Good news as I thought Uefa games were on Thursday meaning a Sunday game in Gelsenkirchen... hopefully it will be Saturday.

We still do not know the actual dates for games between 19th and 21st September.

You are asked to apply for a ticket weeks ago but perhaps a Friday or Sunday game is no good.

Less than 3 weeks an it is still now known (OK, schalke/eintracht will be a sunday as schalke are in uefa cup on thursday 18th but what about other games)

OK, the TV companies need time to decide and the results of european games need to be known but less than 3 weeks is terrible.

Last year, 12 friends flew from Edinburgh to Dortmund for the Eintracht game and did not know if they would see the game until a few weeks before as a Friday or Sunday were no good for their flight times.

Luckily 39 come to Berlin on 30th January 09 for 3 nights so are guaranteed to see the Hertha/Eintracht game  

I think that Bayern, Schalke, Werder, Hamburg, Wolfsburg and possibly Stuttgart will be too strong for Eintracht.

I don't see any reason why Eintracht shouldn't be able to finish higher than all the others!!

Prediction........ 8th.

I have been working in Frankfurt since April 07 and went to the Dortmund away game that month and decided that day to get a Dauerkarte for 07/08 as the fans were tremendous.

I have renewed for 08/09 and hope to see 90% of games home and away.

Friends from Edinburgh will be coming over for a game or two this season (12 were in Dortmund last season) as they enjoy it so much.

I will continue to follow Eintracht when I return home

I hope so too....13 people are flying over from Edinburgh and I have 7 hotel rooms booked in Dortmund for 2 nights - I could be in big trouble if I dont get the tickets  

In april I booked on dortmund website and sat with them but I obviously want to be in beside Eintracht fans this time.

I was in Dortmund in April for the last game (2-0) so I hope this will be a better result.

My friends are looking forward to a good atmosphere beside the Eintracht fans!!

If I have a season ticket (or normal matchday ticket) does this allow me free travel to the stadium on match days?

When I went to Dortmund the match ticket allowed me to travel to the stadium from the city centre.

A true fan - sticks by his team despite a 5-1 cup final humping,

Enjoy the game, may be there myself.

Quick question relating to season ticket.
I bought mine online about 3 or 4 weeks ago.
Should I have made the payment then or do you wait until the ticket is received.

I expected to pay straight away but the email confirmation I received seemed to say to pay when I got the ticket - according to babelfish translater!!!

I havent yet received the season ticket.

I just moved over to work 4 weeks ago. I have a ticket for Saturdays game as well but my mate arrives for the weekend without a ticket so might just watch the FA Cup final instead and have a pub crawl. The stadium is quality, easy to get to by S Bahn from the main train station (15mins??) - just follow the crowds. I have been to a home and away game and the fans certainly make plenty noise. There will be plenty people near the train station to help you get there.

One good thing is that there are loads of stalls selling food and drink out at the stadium so you can go out early for a beer and meet some fans.

Having looked around most places, Sachsenhausen is my idea of a good place, lots of bars in close proximity and only about 10minutes on foot from the city centre. There are also plenty in the city centre itself and also up in Bornheim. Others on here would be better to tell you specific names.

O'Reillys at the main station is OK if you want to see live games from UK but not everyone wants to go overseas and drink in an irish bar!
