I'm in Michigan, but why not? What do you have in mind?

Well, since I've only been a fan auf Deutsch, I'm planning to stick to the German versions primarily but read the English version to improve my [British] English football vocabulary! I would expect stories about the players and their international contributions as well as those to the good old SGE, historical/statistical information, and context as to where we are for this time in the season and what needs to be done to achieve our goals (Ziele, obwohl "wir" dafuer Tore schiessen muessen! smile:. Don't bother with poorly translated interviews; if you're going to do them, do them well!

The occasional reminder about how fans abroad may listen to/watch matches (and in what language(s)) would be helpful as well.

Wow, thanks for pointing it out. It's awfully far for me still, but it'll be something to keep in mind as we plan this year's vacation. My husband wants to go to Arizona sometime. This could be on the way, sort of, right?

War am Ende meines ersten Austauschjahres mit drei MitbewohnerInnen/Nachbarn unterwegs und es war einfach klasse. Fuers letzte Heimspiel im Saison u. im alten Waldstadion bin ich dann alleine hingefahren obwohl die Anderen nicht mit konnten. Erst spaeter habe ich die EFC-2000 aus Coelbe besser kennengelernt.

Ich haette eigentlich Nuernberg- oder Schalke-Fan werden sollen, den Vorstellungen eines anderen Mitbewohners nach, und haette schon auf ihrer Freundschaftsspiel am 01.12.01 sein sollen. Tja, gerettet!

Dies ist auch kein Eintrachtlied aber als ich zum ersten Mal (im Spanischkurs) "Guantanamera" gehoert habe, bin ich fast vom Stuhl gefallen bzw. hab ich mich totgelacht. Erst im Jahr davor (Austauschjahr u. WM 2002) hatte ich gelernt:

I used to swear by the Kicker Live-Ticker, but now I know that the one offered here on eintracht.de is usually quicker and just plain more fun. The betandwin scoreboard is sometimes handy for developments in national and non-BL matches.

Let's see...I also try to keep in touch by email and instant messaging with my Eintracht buddies, read some of the articles, laugh at the occasional brief notes on American sports pages... I'm looking forward to others' replies to this thread, since I haven't ever had any luck with Internet-Radio or streaming. Oh, getting a decent collection of Eintracht tunes is important, too. It's amazing what strange times the Rodgau Monotones can get you through!

It's not easy, anyway. I'm an SGE convert from my junior year abroad and am looking at a lot of years of planning rare transatlantic vacations to coincide with games. Yikes.

I had to laugh at your "I don't believe the defence could play as badly again..."  Now, I didn't see Sunday's game, but my experience in the 2003-04 season was that one should really knock on wood after saying such things. It can always get worse, and often does when you're an Eintracht fan. I am really looking forward to Saturday, though, because I too am confident that our defense will have their act together to some extent.

I just can't think of the best way to translate "Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt"...but in other words, never give up!

Ich hatte 2003-04 ne Dauerkarte in einem der etwas ruhigeren Fanblocks, war diesmal am letzten Spieltag mit der EFC-2000 aus Coelbe im Fanblock und hab jetzt nur das Live-Ticker, da ich wieder zu Hause (in der USA) bin.

This is great--but where am I from?! I grew up in Woodland, Michigan (USA) but study in North Manchester, Indiana (USA). I lived for a year in Marburg and shall return this fall.
